Coco La Palm Seaside Resort has a solid reputation as one of the best moderate hotels in Negril, Jamaica. It's centrally located on the gorgeous 7-Mile beach.

The main pool is located in a large sundeck with an oversized whirlpool tucked in the tropical foliage. Off to the side, you'll find a second pool with views of the sea as well. Watersports on the beach are run by independent operators and the beach is well-stocked with lounge chairs and some nice shade trees.

The restaurant serves Jamaican and International food. From the veranda you'll have a fantastic view of the turquoise sea. At the grill you'll find many local favorite dishes, and the bar is also nearby.

All the rooms are in two-story octigon shaped buildings. Rooms have phones, TVs, refrigerators, coffeemakers and safes--one king or two queen beds with ceiling fans and A/C. Be sure to book an upper-level room. They have window vents, tiered ceilings and French doors that open to oceanview balconies. Junior suites are worth the upgrade--showers that hold two and a huge balcony.

When you make your reservation, be aware that there is second section of rooms, somewhat off to the side, they operate as a budget annex. The gardenview rooms in this section are just basic.
