FireFly Hotel Cottages
FireFly Hotel Cottages is a naturist resort for the budget-minded traveler. Nothing fancy here, just basic accommodations. If you would enjoy a place where you wake up just steps from the beach, don't want to be bothered when you do you own thing aren't the fussy type, this will be for you. The clientele consists of individualists. You'll meet some hippies, and some nudists, a truly diverse crowd.
Firefly hotel cottages offers a variety of accommodations. All cottages have kitchens and are fully equipped--right down to the dishes. They all don't have A/C, so if it's important to you be sure to be specific in your request.
Cottage #5 is a delight with double bed, kitchen with sink, four burner stove with oven, full refrigerator, cookware, dinnerware, dining area, chest and wardrobe, and a full bath with a hot shower big enough for two. A/C, louvered windows, and a ceiling fan over the bed. A private full sized verandah is enclosed by grill work and locked door--has a lounge couch, two reading chairs, and a table with two chairs for outside dining; all enclosed by flowering garden bushes.
The Alpine Chalet is a cozy romantic one-bedroom getaway. Plus enough room for 2 children too.
Small groups and families will love the large cottage that sleeps 8--units this large are truly scare in Negril.
If you try skinning dipping or nude sunbathing on the beach, be prepared to catch a few stares from those passing by. Topless is fairly common on Long Bay, but FireFly Hotel is the only place except for all-inclusive, like Hedonism II, that permits nudity. The bar (which requires at least a thong for service) will let you run a tab and settle up at the end of the week. You can rent floats, call home with 24 hour international phone outside the office, rent some internet time to send "wish you were here" emails to your family and friends. Complimentary bonfire for guests on the beach Tuesday night with popcorn and rum punch. The "fruit lady" comes by the cottages and out by the bar every morning, buy a fresh pineapple or some oranges. The gardens are well-kept and add a nice touch to the property.Be sure to try the pancakes for breakfast at the beach-bar. FREE MORNING COFFEE on the beach, with or without breakfast! Plenty of great restaurants and night spots nearby. It is only 400 yards to Jimmy Buffet's "Margaritaville" where you'll find non-stop music and lots of fun.
