Jamaican Music Reggae is "HOT"

When it comes to Jamaican Music reggae is where it's at! Made popular worldwide by the late reggae singer song-writer Bob Marley and other reggae music artists -- this music genre has hit the charts in a big way.

Reggae was first developed in Jamaica in the 1960's. Often the term Reggae is used broadly to refer to most types of Jamaican music, the term reggae actually describes a particular music style born out of ska and rock steady. Reggae developed as a slower version of mento, ska and rock steady and is identified by it's rhythm guitar "skank" on the upbeats and prominent bass lines.
