Just what we expected!

View of White Sands
Of all the Negril Beach Hotels, White Sands is the best deal around. The rooms are basic, (no TV, clock, etc. – but who cares?! You're in paradise!), on the small side but still efficient, and VERY clean. OH and don’t forget the mini fridge! Our housekeeper was great, I still don’t know how she got all the sand out of there every day!
Towels were refreshed daily, and sheets every 3rd day. (They do not supply beach towels – but a very small price to pay for beachfront Negril for $57 a night!)
They DO supply rafts though!!!!!
The owners live on the property and bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. From scheduling tours to making restaurant reservations to helping locate lost luggage! (Thank you Mike!!) They treat you like family and there’s no other way I like to be treated when on vacation!
They also offer free safety deposit boxes and books to read from their library.
Their bar has 2 for 1 specials every day on already cheap drinks, and the bartenders (Tony and Paul) are great. They also provide security so we felt very comfortable leaving our stuff (cameras included) on the beach while we swam.
The hotel is situated on the most beautiful stretch of white sand and crystal blue water!
We only had breakfast there once but it was really good. I’ve heard pretty good things about lunch as well. There are lots of great restaurants and eateries walking distance from White Sands.
You must must MUST get a patty from Niah who is next door in the Wavz Arts and Crafts center. He is all the way back on the left, and you place your order for about 30 minutes before you want it. I think they were each around $3.00 (maybe less?) and they were HUGE. One of the most delicious things I’ve ever put in my mouth. I want to go back to Negril just for one his patties. They are THAT good.
If you are not needing lots of luxury in your room and only care about the beach, food and overall cultural experience of Negril – White Sands is for you! If you want a cookie cutter vacation where every day feels the same - go elsewhere. :)
