Legends Beach Resort
Legends Beach Resort is an older hotel that offers clean, budget accommodations on Seven Mile Beach in Negril. The location is right in the middle of the action on Seven Mile Beach. Popular bars and nightspots all around. The rooms beachside are more convenient, but rooms across the street in the gardens are away from the noise and commotion on the beach, especially at night. There are two pools. A large one in the gardens across the street and a smaller one (that gets much more use) by the beach. You'll pay more for the beachside rooms and it doesn't necessarily mean you will have a view of the water.
The road in between can be busy, so guards are available assist with crossing if you need it. Security does a good job all around the property, even watching over guest's belongings on the beach and discouraging the sellers that walk along and approach from the beach.
This hotel offers an optional limited all-inclusive plan with simple meals and rum punch drinks. You'll probably be happier here if aren't afraid to explore and take advantage of the many nearby establishments offering a wide variety of eats and entertainment. The Beach Bar offers a daily happy hour (4-7P)when drinks are more reasonably priced.
This is a basic hotel for those on a budget. Legends Beach Resort would be best for experienced travelers or for those that have been to Jamaica before. Not for the fussy or hard to please! If you know what to expect, you shouldn't be dissapointed--just basic, clean accommodations in a very busy area of the beach. No frills.

The rooms are spacious, but basic. You won't find any extras here. No bath mats, hairdryers, coffee makers, etc. They do have cable TV and A/C. Beds are mattresses set on concrete pedestals (actually very comfortable). The linens are thin and towels are limited. They are picked up daily at 10A and returned clean from 3-5p. Bring a few extra towels, wash clothes and beach towels for the beach and maybe a pillow. The beach has four cabanas and if you want one be sure to get there early (7-745am). Your extra beach towels come in handy to leave on your lounge chair, to save your place, while you go to the beach bar for refreshments.
