Negril Night Life --
The hot spots change nightly!

Negril night life is very fluid. The crowds move around every night of the week. One night a club will be so crowded you need to stand in line for 1/2 hour and the next night the same spot can be deserted.

The most popular spots with live entertainment on the beach are
Risky Business, Alfred’s Ocean Palace, Roots Bamboo and Margaritaville and Fun Holiday Beach and in the West End you‘ll find Negril Yacht Club and Sunset Bar (after the clubs close, check out Mi Yard--open 24/7).. If you are staying on the beach, you can just start walking and follow the Reggae beat! Each night the concerts are in a different location.

Each club has its own house band and also features live performers to get the crowd going. Part way through the night, the live performers take a break and the DJ will play the HOT REGGAE HITS. This is sure to energize the crowd get everyone dancing. The evening ends with more live performances!

To find out where to go on any particular night, just someone at your hotel to point you in the right direction! Negril night life would not be complete without mentioning the infamous Hedonism II. The "absolutely anything goes" atmosphere at this notorious resort is irresistible for some. For a fee of approximately $60.00 you can join the fun and activities for the day and night (unlimited drinks of course) at this "closed to the public" all-inclusive beach resort.

Getting around after dark!

For getting around after sunset and during the night, you will be well-served to find a reliable driver.

Always look for the Red License Plates that identify a licensed taxi driver! As a local, they know first hand where to find the live concerts and most popular dance clubs. He'll be able to make sure you are always where the action is. When traveling from the area where the all-inclusive resorts are down to the center of the beach area for Negril night life (Alfred's, Fun Holiday, Roots Bamboo etc.) or from the beach out to the West End and Rick's Cafe, you will definitely need dependable transportation.

WARNING! Don't get taken! When you'll be out late, finding 'on the spot' transportation back to your hotel can be difficult and very expensive. It's not unusual to pay $20 or $30 per person after midnight just to be back to your hotel!

SOLUTION:--My favorite driver is "Rambo" AKA Michael McIntosh! -- Take down his # now, and give him a call when you are in Negril! 876-539-4177 Plan ahead and call RAMBO to go out for the for the night for $40-60 for a whole car load.--depends many stops you want to make and how long you'll be out. And, you will always know you have a safe and dependable ride, he will wait patiently for you or, if invited, party right along with you!Moving around from place to place with your own personal driver is safe, fun and entertaining!

A popular choice for Negril night life, is to start at Rick's Cafe at sunset--watch the cliff diving and have some drinks. After that, you might way to go back to your hotel, have dinner or take a nap and meet up with your driver after 10pm or so to head back out the clubs for the night!
