Rockhouse has dramatic cliff-top setting!
Rockhouse is an impressive property a few miles from the beach on the cliffs of the West End in Negril, Jamaica.
This is a hip boutique hotel with cottages that stretch across the cliffs overlooking Pristine Cove. Rock walkways lead to lodgings. The thatch-shaded bar is perched on the jagged shoreline and surf, that is lighted for night viewing. The terrace restaurant is adjoining and various levels are lit with flaming torches at night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is a la carte. You'll find a contemporary Jamaican cuisine with seafood it's specialty.
The infinity edged pool and sundeck are built into the cliff 60 feet above the sea. A second bar is poolside. Ladders and steps provide access to the sea below. Rent kayaks and snorkeling equipement. Yoga classes are offered in the yoga room. Spa and beauty treatments are available in your room or in the cliff-side spa cabana. Wireless and high speed access are available.
Thatched roofed cottages with wrap-around sun-bathing decks and outdoor showers are strung along the cliffs. They have black cement floors, four poster beds with musline netting. All rooms have ceiling fans, minibars, CD players, refrigerators and safes. You can rent a TV if you need it. The open-air showers are solar-heated and are hidden behind high walls connected to a basic bathroom with toilet and dressing area.
The least expensive standards are actually larger than the studios, but their verandahs overlook the gardens instead of the sea. This resort is completely different than traditional beach resorts. It's a funky place, with a wonderful laid back atmosphere. Relax with reggae playing in the background and listen to the ocean lap against the rocks below. It is as unpretentious as you could wish a place to be. Childen under 12 are not allowed here.
