The Caves Negril Jamaica is the antithesis of all the commercialized Jamaican all inclusive resorts. This small cottage property is tucked away behind a high stone wall covered with tropical foliage. It's a very romantic resort with it's own built in privacy.
Caves in Negril Jamaica is located on the cliffs of the West End of Negril and consists of one & two bedroom hand-crafted cottages planted in a garden with winding paths leading to terraces on the edge of the sea--one leads to a free-form whirlpool perched above the cliff-lined shore.
Explore two seafront acres of sundecks and nooks, even grottoes in the cliff itself.One of these grottoes is designed to be used for private dining - lit with candles and strewn with flowers. Along the cliff edge are openings in the stone walls where you can take a plunge into the sea from various levels. Ladders provide easier access to the sea and the coral reef below. Sea kayaks are available to view the dramatic, wave-splashed cliffs as you paddle along the coast. Guests also gather around the cliff-side saltwater pool. The hot tub that is tucked away in a cave.
Ten high-ceiling cottages at the Caves in Negril Jamaica are made of wood and stone, roofed with thatch and trimmed in gingerbread fretwork. These lighthearted one and two bedroom cottages are each uniquely designed. All provide ceiling fans, and jalousies. They are fully equipped with phones, CD players, CD's, safes, hair dryers and robes.
A small restaurant serves a limited menu of authentic Jamaican food and the self-service honor bar has an extensive collection of CD's from the Islands label. An added feature is the newer bar (open to the public). It's very busy from 4-8pm, offering the guests a chance to mingle with the locals over run drinks and snacks.
The Aveda Spa offers full treatments, yoga and massages for under $100. The outdoor massage area and sauna offers a spectacular view of the sea below.
Celebrities world-wide stay at the the Caves Negril Jamaica to escape from the world. This hotel definitely stands apart from the rest. If you want the opposite of a the standard Negril Jamaica All Inclusive, this is it. Small and intimate and plenty of charm and character here.
