Guides & Equipment

Jamaica Zipline Adventure Tour guides receive a minimum of 200 hours of training using U.S. based ACCT standards.

At each zipline a professional guide attaches guests to 2 zipline cables via a custom made dual wheel trolley or pulley system, which is attached to a heavy duty steel carabiner and dual lanyards, and to another carabiner attached to the secure seat harness used for rock climbing.

A guide greets each guest on the other side of the zipline and disengages them so they can continue on to the next station, always accompanied by our terrific guide staff.

Safety briefings begin each and every tour, where our guides demonstrate ziplining equipment on an actual zipline 5' off the ground. A few important precautions are presented here, though guests can ask questions at any time throughout the tour. We're ready to Zip Away!

Safety First

Our zipline canopy tour was designed and built by Canopy Tours, Inc., a U.S. firm, and exceeds all industry construction, training, and safety standards.

We do not use a "glove braking" system, rather the ziplines are engineered to be gravity-fed, and deliver guests gently to their destination in a hands-free environment.

The tour was carefully designed to start with an easy, low to the ground, 250' zipline with a gentle landing.

Guests work their way through 4 more ziplines, the last 1,600 feet in length, and yet another gentle ground landing. While zipping, guests are attached to 2 separate 1/2" aircraft grade steel cables overhead that can hold 23,000 lbs.

Cables are attached to trees and poles that are guy-wired and cemented to the ground.

All aspects of the tour are safety-redundant. Ziplines are inspected daily, weekly, monthly and bi-annually exceeding industry standards.
